Steve Vai

A big dream came true when I passed my audition to play keys for the legendary Steve Vai in 2013. I spent my summer after high school touring Australia, New Zealand and Asia with the incredible people of the Vai Village.

Here are some of my favorite moments from fan videos taken in 6 of the 18 cities that we visited on tour. Steve has incredible fans and I was lucky to meet so many of them.

Audition Video

Check out this bit of "stunt piano". Here is Steve Vai's song, "Angel Food". Steve told me it was "unplayable" at the same time that he challenged me to see what I could do with it. I had it ready to audition for him 3 days later. I wanted the gig!
